Mobile phone Flasher

Thanks to Scott Bell, here's the explanation :-)

How they work: : The antenna is roughly tuned to the wavelength of the phone signal. The transistor is actually a diode which half waves the signal then uses the now "stored" energy of the half wave process to generate enough voltage to drive the LEDs.

Pretty simple really, I make the things all the time for friends with anything up to 4 LEDs in one unit, you can add more LEDs but the brightness drops after you get to 5 due to the loading of the signal and also rx/tx of the phone can drop too.

Have fun, you have a good website, seeya,

 Scott.

This mobile phone flasher sticker is paper-thin, and don't need any battery !! when a phone call is made, or answered, the flasher got turn on !!

If anyone can explain how it works, please tell me. I don't know how it can harvest the signal, turn it into useable electricity, and then turn on the SMD leds.

Circuit, anyone ?

Happy Face mobile phone flasher sticker :-) 2 SMD leds on top,
1 transistor ? on the bottom
antenae ? to harvest radiowave ? Close-up : look really simple, circuit anyone ?

Mobile phone Robot

This little "Robot" is another type of mobile phone flasher. The mobile phone has to sit inside the "cockpit".

I test drive it and it works. When the phone rings :

1.  it flashes 2 bright-red leds just under the "cockpit", behind the "guns".
2.  it also turns on the alarm, and it is very annoying to have the alarm and mobile phone ring the same time. I'll add a on/off switch when I have time to modify it. Driving me crazy.
3.  it walks !! Yes, it walks slowly but steadily forward, try to reach you or something. When this baby sounds the alarm, flashes it lights, and walks on your kitchen floor, I wonder what would happen to your little kitten :-)

Are they BEAMable ? I think they are. Wait till I have time to do some surgeries :-)
